Creatives
Creatives are the HTML5 banners displayed to survey participants. Each study requires creatives in two sizes for each group type.

Utiq Pulse supports two standard banner sizes.
| Size | Name | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| 300x250 | Medium Rectangle | Universal, most common placement |

The Equativ HTML export is specifically designed for Equativ Buyer Connect (DSP). It uses the {click_url} macro which Equativ replaces with their click tracking URL at delivery time.
- Click tracking via {click_url} macro — clicks appear in Equativ reporting as survey responses
- Dual tracking: Equativ click beacon + Utiq Pulse survey beacon fire simultaneously on each answer
- No external library needed — pure macro replacement at ad delivery time

Tracking & Response Validation
Utiq Pulse uses export tokens to distinguish between real DSP-served responses and test/preview responses. This ensures your reports only include genuine survey data.
How It Works
Each time you export a creative for a DSP platform, a unique token is generated and embedded in the banner HTML. When a user responds to the survey, the tracking system validates this token to determine the response status.
| Scenario | Status | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| DSP-exported banner | Active | Valid export token present |
| Preview in platform | Test | No export token |
| Standard HTML download | Test | No export token |
| Forged/manipulated URL | Test | Invalid token |
Export Tokens
Export tokens are the mechanism that validates whether a response comes from a real DSP-served banner.
- Each DSP export generates a unique token
- Tokens never expire — banners remain valid indefinitely
- Re-exporting a creative creates a new token while keeping old tokens valid
- Tokens are generated automatically during DSP export — no manual steps required

Filtering in Reports
Use the response status filter in Reports to separate real campaign data from test data.
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| Active | Only responses from DSP-exported banners (production data) |
| Test | Only responses from previews, standard downloads, or invalid tokens |
| All | All responses regardless of source |
